Wisdom walks with God. Wisdom chases after God. Wisdom finds its joy and its satisfaction in who He is, and it trusts Him for what He’s done. Wisdom honors God, and it enjoys the blessings of God.

Proverbs teaches us to pursue wisdom, but how do we know that we will find it? Here in Proverbs 2, Solomon gives us the answer. He teaches us that wisdom comes from God that He is a glad giver to those who seek Him.

In our passage last week, Solomon urged us to hear his instruction. He opened his heart and his voice to us, calling us to pay attention to what he has to say. In this passage he takes a different approach. He portrays wisdom as a lady, to be desired and to be listened to. That’s really the main point of this passage. Lady Wisdom is speaking to us, and we must listen.

The book of Proverbs is meant to teach us how to live life well in light of eternity. It’s a book that rewards the reader with wisdom, and urges us to take wisdom to heart. In this introduction to the Book of Proverbs we hear four meditations on what wisdom is and how it's meant to affect our lives.

God has designed the family to be a school of wisdom. In this sermon we take a look at that design, and we see how wisdom equips us to resist the allure of evil.

The focus of Isaiah 12 is on worship. But it’s more than an invitation to worship. Really, it’s a promise of worship. It’s a promise of effective salvation, in which God’s people experience and respond to the gracious character of God.

God is a God of prodigals. He is a God who is for prodigals. In this passage, Isaiah puts the fatherly heart of God in perspective for us, showing us that He is a God who recovers prodigals, who restores prodigals, and who uses prodigals to expand His kingdom.

Isaiah teaches us to hang our hope on Christ, and as we read what he has to say about him, we learn 3 important lessons: We learn to A) Have hope when things look small and feel insignificant B) Have hope, because the Spirit of God in Christ is now at work in us C) Have hope because Christ is on his throne
