- It would have been nice if liberty had notified current students about this through email. I just happened to end up on this page, but I never come here intentionally. I would have loved to submit a paper, but now it's too late.
- Has anyone used the sermon builder tools that are part of the Logos Bible Software? Is it worth the money to upgrade and get it?
Will Atha — Edited
Yo, been a while, but I'll weigh in. So I use sermon builder and like it, but I wouldn't upgrade just for the sermon builder.
- “Call for Papers,” Spring 2021 Theme: Unity in Christ Eleutheria, Liberty University School of Divinity Journal Guest Contributor: Gary Habermas Looking for any students interested in being published in an academic divinity journal. You do not have to be a Liberty student. (You will need to make an account to submit, however.) Subject Areas: Philosophy, Theology, Biblical Studies, Church, and Missions. Rationale: Ideas have consequences that divide and unite. We see this in history and experience it presently. In what ways do our ideas of Jesus bridge theory, practice, and persons? Space is provided for topics that may differ from the main theme. See more about these subject areas here: https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/eleu/specialization.html Click here to submit an article for review: https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/submit.cgi?context=eleu Click here to read the submission guidelines: https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/eleu/guidelines.html Submission deadline for Spring 2021 volume: 04/01/21 Indexes: ATLA Religion Database, Christian Periodical Index ISSN: 2159-8088 We encourage you to send out this slide and links to other students who may be interested. - Hey Everyone, I am having trouble accessing the Remote Research library and resources.. They aren't showing up in my library on Logos.
- Unfortunately, the free trial is over and Liberty has not subscribed to the paid version.
- Yea unfortunately at 30 years old I still do not know how to fully read directions :/ After a few days digging around and live chats with Liberty and Logos I finally decided to read the full details and message and BAM right there in clear English it states just that. I'm just looking for ways to fill up my library for my new Christian life going forward without having to sell any of my new Christian arm or leg to pay for all of them. Ty for the response anyhow I appreciate you all looking out for me!
- I feel your pain about the cost. Be sure to visit the Logos home page each day and check out the daily deals and the first of the month for the free book of the month. As a student, you get good discounts. You can slowly build an excellent library by looking for price reductions. It is common to find 50% off. Sometimes they will offer commentaries for sale that are based upon the rankings from the Bestcommentaries.com web sit. It is fun to see your library grow and I always feel blessed to have good resources to draw upon. Many blessings on you today.
- I love it!
- We have upgraded in our Logos class here at Liberty. You can go to the following site to see the 16 changes/additions in Logos 9: https://www.logos.com/9
- The new version is worth upgrading, as the changes provided improve the overall experience of Logos. However the the next improvements, I highly recommend asking https://assignmentcore.com/ programming service to assist you achieve even better results. I once gave this online company a try back in University times, and never regretted.
- Hello everyone, If Wordsearch is transitioning to Logos (https://www.logos.com/wordsearch), does anyone know if the digital textbooks provided by the School of Divinity will be moving to Logos? Thanks! - TylerWordsearch is Transitioning to Logos Bible Softwarewww.logos.com
- Thank you for the details Joe!
- Good news. Looking forward to having all in one location. I like the search capability in Logos better.
- Me too. I wish that I didn't lose my spot in Wordsearch I need to stop in the middle of reading something. It also seems to timeout and isn't available offline like Logos is
- Check out this short video to help you get more out of Logos Bible Software and your Remote Research Library. You can type any Bible passage or topic in the "Go Box" and click Go to receive a wealth of information. Logos will create a research brief for you on that passage or topic which will help you tremendously in your studies. Please note that some of the features in this video may not be available in your version of Logos. https://faithlifetv.com/media/306965 More video tutorials can be found here: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019103211-Logos-8-Training-VideosLogos 8 Training VideosSkip ahead to: Getting Started New in Logos 8 Academic Tools Bible Study Tools Greek and Hebrew Tools Preaching and Teaching Tools Note: Looking for mobile app videos? - Hi. If you haven't upgraded to the latest version, I suggest you do that. It's easier than ever to find new resources in your library with new sorting features (you can sort by author, publisher, type, such as a commentary or lexicon, etc.). The update indicator also has a summary of books which have been downloaded that you can click on as well. Usually, just typing the author or title in the library search bar will bring up the resource quickly. You should be able to save your layout with the layout button in the upper-right-hand corner. You can rename whatever you're working on to a title of a layout you'd like and then click on that layout using the layout icon when you re-open the software. There are many great preset layouts but saving your work with a layout sounds like what you're looking for. The newsletters that have been posted here have links to training videos. Many videos are built into the software and more are online. For instance, this link is in the newsletter. Check out the one on layouts and the library for further help. https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/categories/360000675231-Logos-Training
- I would like to be part of this, but I can't because I found out too late about it. What is the status of this? Has Liberty decided to subscribe?
- As far as I know, they have not. But I will look into it.
