Hello, Living Water! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! My workplace has put together a great opportunity for their employees to serve and give to their community as the holidays are fast approaching, and I would like to share this opportunity with you! So we are currently raising funds/receiving monetary donations to purchase Christmas gifts for children in foster care! With the donations, we get each child three Christmas gifts they wish for (we anticipate a $75-100 commitment for each 3-item wish list). The first round of children and their wish lists are received around the second week of November and then onward. If you would like to participate, please send me your donations to my venmo account, @sujin-lim-2, by November 9th! I'll be sharing with you any updates that I receive along the way to keep you posted. Any amount of donation is welcomed and much appreciated! Happy Friday LW Young Adults! I hope you're having a great week. Here to share an important Young Adults Announcement! Since 2022 started, LW Young Adults Group has been a bit on and off, mainly with the hope to transition fully into LifeGroups. LifeGroups are coming very soon, BUT we've come to understand that not everyone will be able to join for the first season of LifeGroups AND we do want God to continue building us up as he did in 2021! So we are rebooting LW Young Adults Fellowship starting next Friday! [no meeting today] We'll be planning two LW Young Adults Fellowship per month. They'll be scheduled around Worship & Membership Nights and any other Church-wide gatherings. So for example, in April, April 1 (Fri) - Young Adults Fellowship - 7pm April 9 (Sat) - LW Worship & Membership Night - 5pm April 15 (Fri) - LW Good Friday Communion Worship - 7pm April 22 (Fri) - Young Adults Fellowship - 7pm April 29 (Fri) - Open We'll be gathering at church for Young Adults Fellowships, unless announced otherwise. While each fellowship night will be planned as we go along. Generally, we'll have dinner together, bible-based fellowship, and some activities. (any requests or suggestions for each fellowship is welcome!) We are praying that God will use this fellowship to create a space for young adults to create life-giving relationships and to 'adult' in Christ together. So please mark your calendars and let's call on each other to gather next week!

Day 10   “Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:13‬ ‭NIV‬‬     Paul reminds us that our old self (body) has been crucified through Christ blood.  However, we have not completely overcome our desire to sin even though it can be very destructive in our lives.  We should fight and do our best through Holy Sprit and should not let sin rule and do unrighteousness things to our body.   During the Lent period let us present our bodies to God to be used for righteousness.  Let us overcome all wickedness and evil temptation around us and give our body and our hearts for His glory.   Let us remember and remind ourselves that we have been bought through Christ Blood from death to life.  The result is that sin no longer has any authority over us.  We have been set free.  Amen!

[By Seh-Hwa Park] Day 9 - “The Lord delights in those who fear Him; who put their hope in Him unfailing love.” Psalm 147:11 To fear him is to know what an almighty God He is - the God who created the universe, the heaven and the earth. He set the boundaries of the sea and land. He makes sure there is 24 hours in a day. And He holds everything - including the pandemic and the war - in His hands. That same God gives us new mercy every morning. Digs deep into our hearts to whisper a love song to call us His children. So in God we put our hope because the Lord is a friend and a father who also holds each of us in His hands - in times of worry, in times of joy, and in times of deep despair. And in that posture of humility, God is delighted.

[By David Park] Day 8 (Hebrews 10:19-20): "Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body..." As we move on to the 8th day of Lent, our verse today reminds me of what a personal God we have. Through the sacrifice of His one and only Son, He has allowed me to enter into the Most Holy Place and fellowship with Him. I don't have to travel to a temple in a far-off land. I can meet Him where I am and just as I am. Christ's death and resurrection allows this. Praise God for His infinite grace, love, and mercy that allows a weak and sinful person like me to be in His presence. Let's go to Him today and spend time with Him in the Most Holy Place.

Day 8 - "Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, (Hebrews 10:19-20) What an amazing picture of how we can draw near to God! The Most Holy Place, referring to the place in the temple where God's presence dwelled in the Old Testament, was inaccessible to everyone except the High Priest. It was guarded by a large curtain. This very curtain was torn from top to bottom when Jesus Christ died on the cross. The author of Hebrews brings all of this together and tells us, that just like the curtain was torn, Jesus' died on the cross making a new and living way to God in the Most Holy Place. Considering these things, the following verses encourage us to draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings. May we all recognize what an amazing privilege it is to be able to spend time in his presence each day.
