About
Welcome to Mobile Ed Summer Session: NT307. As we explore archaeology and the New Testament in NT307, you are able to take notes, interact with other users, and have fun exploring the course and its content with your Mobile Ed Summer Session Facilitor and Dr. Craig Evans!
This is a cohort that will work through the material together with a 2 week study plan. There is no pressure to work at this 1 hour per day pace, but this will help you move through the material in community with others and allow you to be on schedule for completing the NT cornerstone certificate this summer in 6 weeks.
Dr. Craig Evans' NT307 presents the tasks of archaeology and reviews the contributions made to archaeology by other physical and social sciences through their examination of recovered material culture. Findings from archaeology that support the claims of Scripture, debunk popular theories that conflict with the biblical accounts, and place Jesus within His historic cultural setting are presented. Particular attention to archaeological evidence regarding synagogues, Jewish beliefs regarding death, and Jewish burial customs is given, supporting the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ synagogue ministry, burial, and resurrection.
