Sunday 12-15-2024 Speaker: Rev. Deloris Mayshack Theme: Raising The Standards Series: Gifts of Disruptions Sermon: A Bright Light in Dark Times: Do You Have a Light? Scriptures: John 8:12 and Matthew 5:14-16   Do you have a light? Have you ever gotten out of bed because of a pressing urgent matter? You don’t want to turn on the light. If you become too comfortable, you will continue to navigate through darkness. Sin will pull you into darkness. Sometimes God will place you in a dark place and allow you to sit in it in order to get your attention.   Jesus is the Light of the World. Jesus’ birth brought many challenges to Mary and Joseph. Their lives were never the same. Jesus came bearing gifts such as joy and life when he was born. It is not about what kind of gifts that we get under the tree. It is about what kind of gifts that we receive from Him.   The gift of light symbolizes God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. The Gift of Light: 1.  Expels and Exposes:   When light comes, it expels and exposes the darkness. The kingdom of Darkness makes people blind to the Light. If the world hates Jesus, it will hate you too. You must be prepared (suited and booted) for warfare.   2.  Disrupts:   The light is a disruptor. Jesus’ presence causes things such as darkness and sickness to shift or flee. He is your Healer, Savior, Deliverer, a Bridge over Troubled Water, and a Soon Coming King. He will reach out and grab you out of troubled water.   3.  A Gift that Keeps on Giving: Jesus is a gift that keeps on giving. You can’t put Jesus in a box. He will reset your life. You should let your light shine. Has anyone given their heart to the Lord because of your light? We will not save anyone, but we have been given a charge to be the light and share the light.   Do you have a light? How is your Light? Is your light dim or shining brightly? What have you done with your light?   All live services are now streaming on: Faith Life, One Life Church’s website (https://www.Onelifega.org) and YouTube (One Life Church GA) Please like and share these videos with the following hashtags:   #ILoveMyOneLife #letsdolifetogether   One Life Church appreciates your support!!

Sunday 12-8-2024 Speaker: Rev. Bernard Thompson Theme: Raising the Standards Series: Gifts of Disruptions Sermon: Everybody Needs to Know Him Scriptures: John 4:1-26 (with emphasis on verses 1-14)   Some people think the words “wants” and “needs” are synonyms. However, the words have different meanings. “Wants” are things that people desire to have but are not necessary for survival. “Needs” are essential items that people can’t do without. Jesus came to meet our needs.   Everybody needs to know Him. Jesus has the power to disrupt or delay our plans and dreams. His purpose is still to seek and save the lost.   John 4:1-26 highlights five “D” keywords: Divide (Division), Dialogue, Discernment, Discovery, and Delivery.   1. DIVIDE (DIVISION): John 4:1-10   Sin can separate us from God and each other. Jesus came to a city of Samaria called Sychar. He sat by the well (Jacob’s well). A Samarian woman came to draw water from the well. The Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans, but Jesus didn’t lose his focus. The woman saw herself as an outsider, but Jesus saw her potential.   2. DIALOGUE: John 4:11-15   Jesus kept the Samaritan woman engaged in conversation. The woman’s curiosity increased through engaging with Jesus. Jesus was the living water that she needed. People are hurting and longing for answers. Everybody needs to know Him. Jesus is the answer for the world today.   3.  DISCERNMENT: John 4:16-18   The word of God will reveal things TO You and ABOUT You. The word of God will not embarrass you. The gospel is like a burning flame of fire. It is sharper than a two-edged sword. Jesus is the meditator between man and God. Everybody needs to know Him.   4. DISCOVERY: John 4:19-20   The Samaritan woman realized there was something different about the stranger (Jesus). She assumed he was a prophet. It is not about HOW or WHERE we worship. It is about WHO we worship. We must worship God in spirit and truth. We must seek and worship Him for WHO he really is.    5. DELIVERY: John 4:21-26 The Samaritan woman shared with her village that she saw The Messiah. It is your role to carry out the gospel. Jesus is coming back soon. We often live for the right now, not as if Jesus is coming back soon. Everybody needs to know Him.   Jesus is our Living Water and Bread of Life. We are nothing without Him. We have everything when we have Jesus. His love is eternal and it stands the test of time. Everybody needs to know Him. Do you know Him in an intimate way? What has He has done for you?   All live services are now streaming on: Faith Life, One Life Church’s website (https://www.Onelifega.org) and YouTube (One Life Church GA) Please like and share these videos with the following hashtags:   #ILoveMyOneLife #letsdolifetogether   One Life Church appreciates your support!!

Sunday 12-1-2024 Speaker: Rev. Mark Thornton Theme: Raising the Standards Series: Gifts of Disruptions Sermon: The Reality of Christ Scriptures: Matthew 1:18-23 and Genesis 3:9   We tell the birth of Christ (Matthew 1:18-23) like a feel-good children’s story once a year. Jesus didn’t show up for you to tell a feel-good story about him. What is the reality of Christ for you? What is the Truth of Him? Do you truly understand who He is and why He came?   Matthew 1:23 states “the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son. They will call him Immanuel which means God with us”. God asked Adam where he was in Genesis 3:9. Jesus came for God’s question to Adam. This question identified Adam as being separated from God. When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they gained a knowledge and responsibility that they couldn’t handle. They couldn’t handle the whole weight of righteousness.   The whole weight of righteousness belonged to the Light (Jesus). Jesus carried and handled the weight and responsibility. He made a shame of himself for you on the cross. He saw you from afar and came to get you just like the Prodigal Son’s father. He looked for you even when you weren’t searching for him.   Jesus is the real reason for the season. What season did he show up for? What will happen when the season is over? Will he still be the season? What season are you waiting for? What season is this? Do you know who came to save you?   There will be a lot of deception in the last days. The message of the enemy will come from the pulpit. The enemy is not fighting or sobbing you over a season. The enemy is fighting you over your life. God is still writing the story of your life. Your life should be a daily open testimony. It is Now or Never for your discernment not to be turned off. Are you prepared not to be deceived? Are you so in tune with God that you can recognize the lie?   All live services are now streaming on: Faith Life, One Life Church’s website (https://www.Onelifega.org) and YouTube (One Life Church GA) Please like and share these videos with the following hashtags:   #ILoveMyOneLife #letsdolifetogether   One Life Church appreciates your support!!

Sunday 11-24-2024 Pastor Kennard Weever Theme: Raising the Standards Series: Friendsgiving Sermon: Thank You, God Scriptures: Jeremiah 29:15-19 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16   The Children of Israel were in exile, Babylonian Captivity, for seventy years. God made provisions for them during their time in captivity. God tried to talk in them, but they didn’t listen. It is our responsibility to listen to God.   God will never leave us or forsake us even if we get on the wrong track and become involved in things that he has never ordained for us. What we consider to be punishment is really God’s protection. Sometimes, he will hide us in order to protect us and save us. God knows the plans that he has for us. He has plans to grow us and to develop us.   1 Thessalonians 5:16 states rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. We should Rejoice, Pray, and Give Thanks Always even if God tells us no, it doesn’t work out, it is something that we don’t like, or it is something that we don’t have. We should be cheerful no matter what. Being cheerful means our “Thank You, God” will become louder than our anxiety and frustration. When you know who you are in Christ, your “Thank You, God” becomes part of who you are. You owe God a big thank you for saving you and keeping you. What are you thankful for? What do you count as a blessing?   All live services are now streaming on: Faith Life, One Life Church’s website (https://www.Onelifega.org) and YouTube (One Life Church GA) Please like and share these videos with the following hashtags:   #ILoveMyOneLife #letsdolifetogether   One Life Church appreciates your support!!
