  1. My absolute favorite theologian, thinker, commentator, and speaker. I've listened to his lectures and message via YouTube for quite some time. One of my favorite quotes sound fatalistic but it's about getting an sober understanding of living in a fallen, broken world. It is the "normal Christian life, "...if you're blessed to live long enough, you will feel the ache of losing a child, losing someone close to cancer or getting it yourself, broken relationships, experience chronic pain like rheumatoid arthritis...these things are the normal Christian life...on this side of the Garden. We should not fail to see what sin has done to a person, a people group, a nation..." He's then quick to follow up with the encouragement of the God who is there in the midst of it all. I would spend $75 just to spend 5 minutes with Dr. Carson.
