Concerning MIDI control, have ye any documentation on MIDI commands applicable to lighting that Proclaim can transmit? It'll help me identify usable DMX512 controllers that can execute scene changes from the commands.
- Update: Skunk on MIDI compatible DMX-512 from Lightronics. Also skunk on MIDI-compatible DMX-512 from Altman. I've serious concerns over the durability of the American DJ, Elation, &c. Scene Setter 48, but I haven't found an institutional-grade controller that hears and speaks MIDI....
- Update 2: ENTTEC® has two candidates for USB-to-DMX512 interoperability in the Models 70304 and 70314, host adapters in the DMXUSB PRO series. Still have to investigate what additional software is required for the included MIDI subsystem in the Model 70314.
- Hello bret.schmerker, Not sure if this would help, but I've seen some users who have a DMX board that comes with it's own software. That software would accept MIDI signals, so they configured a program like this https://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/virtualmidi.html , that would take the MIDI signal from Proclaim, to their lighting board software, which would then accept it, trigger a scene on the software, and send the DMX signal out. Definitely a convoluted setup, and I can't promise it's success, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's something that helps you.
