Can someone point me to a good starting point about how to use the Precept Method with Logos Bible Software?
- What is inductive Bible study?
- Hello! I am a Precept Discussion Leader. I do use the inductive bible study method with Logos. Logos has been a huge learning curve for me. If you have the time, watch a lot of the basic instructions for Logos Bible Software on YouTube. Logos offers you a tutorial on how to do an inductive bible study with their software. With that said, what I do is create a notebook called “Observations for Genesis”. I can then create symbols from the highlight tool. (Or use theirs). Be sure to watch how to use the Notebook, Highlights, and Notes. I use Notes when I am linking other scripture that interprets another. I also use notes if I want to add a commentator’s opinion of a verse. It is best to do these things on your computer vs a notebook, or phone! Or you can also do it via their website. Hope this helps get you started in the right direction. Blessings!
- Inductive bible study is an investigative approach to Scripture in which you are taught to ask the 5 W’s and an H type of questions. It involves observing the text, interpreting and applying the text. We use color coding to make it easier to discover and answer these questions for ourselves.
