I have heard it said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is one of those pictures that makes me agree with that saying!   There have been days, as a teacher or as a mother, when I have been the crouching mama lion standing behind the cub. Giving her support without saying a word...some days without the cub even knowing that he or she had backup.    There have been other days, though; that I was the cub..and whether I knew it or not, I was the one needing backup. I find it comforting to remember that I always have God giving me support, backing me up.   “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” --Joshua 1:9   “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” -Deuteronomy 31:6   “The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.” -Zephaniah 3:17
