I have an an image slide show setup in post-service loop. When I attach audio to the first slide and set it to play until the "end of section", the music will continue to play through the playlist until i leave the post-service section or go off air. But when I attach the audio to the second slide in the slideshow, it restarts the audio play list every time that slide comes up.
- Yeah. That's why I wanted to ask the proclaim team how it's supposed to work because it didn't seem to make sense to me either. Also, when I build my pre-service loop, I import the announcement PowerPoint as an image slide show. Then I add "walk-in music" to the first slide. Then I can copy the slide show and move it down to post service. I usually add another slide to the post service slides. To "fix" it I have to add the extra steps of removing the audio from the first slide and re-adding it to the section instead. That's where the extra steps come in. It's not a big deal but I still feel like it's a work around based on the first slide behavior.
- The default continue/repeat setting is 'End of playlist' meaning it will play until its over. In this case, the music applies to all subsequent items, which we show by lighting their icons up with a faint blue. Since you applied it to the first item, the subsequent items also play audio. If you apply it to the second item, the first item will not inherit the music as it does not follow the second item, so each time the loop gets to the first item, the audio will end, and then restart on the second item We are potentially going to replace the existing audio functionality with something like the recording cues, which will hopefully make this all more obvious as to when audio will be playing.
- That makes sense. I just figured since the section is a loop that all the items in the loop would be considered "subsequent items." I will adjust my process. Thank you.
