In our worship services the past couple of weeks, we’ve been focusing on verses from Psalm 51 that can help us to “start fresh” in the new year. This week, we move to Psalm 51:12 which is a prayer asking God to “restore to us the joy of our salvation.” We want to come before the Lord, remembering anew the life He has given to us in Jesus Christ, and to allow that truth to move us to worship Him with joy.
We’ll begin this week with Psalm 34:1-3, a call from Scripture to magnify and exalt the Lord together. The song 10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord) picks up this theme and moves us forward in our exaltation of God for who He is and all that He has done for us. Then we will hear from the New Testament as 1 Peter 1:3-9 fills out our understanding of God’s salvation in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Our response to the truth of God’s Word will be to sing Christ Our Hope In Life And Death.
Pastor Andrew will be wrapping up the Start Fresh series as he brings us his message from Psalm 51:12. Responding together in joy because of our salvation in Christ, we will sing Christ Is Mine Forevermore:
Come rejoice now, O my soul
For His love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure
Christ is mine forevermore!
We will close our time together by praying for our Giving, and be sent out after a couple of brief Announcements with a Benediction. As always, tell us how we can be praying for you. Send your prayer requests to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
As you prepare for worship this week, focus on the greatness of our God and the amazing salvation we have in Jesus Christ. Let the awesome truth of who God is and what He’s done move you to a place of worshipful joy. Then join us on Sunday, ready to worship the Lord together. You can find this week’s song playlist on Spotify.
Remember that attendance is still limited at our in-person services right now, so you must register if you’d like to attend in-person.
