When our world shut down with COVID I began praying that God
would strengthen and empower pastors everywhere to address the painful diversity in our world by lovingly and boldly preaching the Word of God for such a time as this. Thank you Andrew for another powerful and important sermon! I was encouraged and challenged to grow in my understanding of how the Gospel should impact how I think and what I do with whats happening in the world but especially regarding race. The COVID lockdown, initiated sort of a race awakening in me. I resonate with so much of what you said yesterday about, our identity, diversity, obstacles and privilege…to whom much is given much is required. Praying the church will lead the way in these things. I will be praying for our relationship with the Chinese church. God of 2nd chances may we get it right this time!
- Sharon I thank Pastor Andrew for such a powerful sermon. I have been thinking about this as well. If the world could just love each other regardless of what our race is, we could live the prayer out, thy kingdom come they Will be done on Earth as is in Heaven. I'm sure there is no segregation in Heaven and every soul is loving one another. I think if more Pastor gave sermons like Pastor Andrew did would could start the unity within the churches and hopefully spread across the world. Praying for unity with our Chinese brothers and sisters.
