Is it possible to present a live stream onto the screen in our sanctuary? We want to stream from our patio and be able to show folks in the sanctuary what's happening out there.
Unfortunately, it does not work using "Add Item/Web Page" and then pasting in the url. I see a YouTube screen, but it says, "Your browser can't play this video.
Learn more." And while "Learn more" appears to be clickable, clicking on it does nothing.
- Steve, Proclaim does have in the settings menu an option to use a local Web Cam and that video feed becomes the background for any slide that has the transparent background set. It over taxes my 5 year old laptop so I have to use a Virtual output from Proclaim to feed into OBS and use that feed as the webcam for video conferencing that I use for our services. I have it set so I can have Proclaim directly displays on the front of house projector and virtual display for livestream using different format such as lower thirds etc for the livestream. I think Proclaim supports 2 virtual outputs. The 2nd would require another OBS system I would think which becomes a bit more to manage. On my Windows 10 system running an updated OBS in studio mode I am able right click the program window and select Fullscreen and select what screen you need that feed displayed on at Fullscreen. OBS Studio mode also allows you to use a monitor to preview your scenes.
- Hi , this may work for you. We send the signal from OBS to one of the monitors in the booth. Then I cast it using the Chrome web browser to a TV via a Chromecast that is plugged into the TV. We began doing this because Pastor has a habit of walking off camera. The hope was that if he saw what the viewers of the stream saw . . . well, it is still a work in progress :-) In OBS, be sure to use Studio mode, right click on your Program (output) screen. If you are hardwired into the projector from the computer you will be using on the patio choose it and that will now show whatever you are currently streaming. If you are not already hardwired to that projector from that computer, you will need a monitor that is connected to the computer that you can use for this purpose. You will also have to get a Chromecast and plug it into one of your projector inputs. Once you have that, follow these steps: Right click on OBS and choose that monitor that you wish to view the stream on. Now open Chrome and click on the 3 dots and then choose Cast, click Sources in that menu and choose Cast Desktop. Then click the Chromecast and choose the monitor that you are sending the OBS signal to. You should also uncheck the box that says Share Audio. At that point, everything that is on your stream will be displaying on the projector in your sanctuary. It works best if you are hardwired to the projector. There is a bit of latency with the Chromecast, but no one viewing from the sanctuary should notice.
