Is there a way to archive notebooks?
Here is the scenario: my wife has been leading a ladies' Bible study through Acts, and she has created a notebook for each chapter/passage grouping within Acts. She will soon be moving into Romans, but now the notebooks she has accumulated have become cumbersome through which to search.
In Olive Tree BIble Study, which she used to use, there was a way to bundle notebooks into collections rather than just having all notebooks listed. I understand that there are filters that can accomplish something like what I am describing within Logos, but I am rather new to Logos myself as well, so I am not much help.
Any thoughts?
- That's a great question, Levi Moore. You can't nest or bundle notebooks at this time, but you can use tags to group notes however you choose. Here's what I would suggest: * Start by creating a new notebook for all of her Acts notes. * Then, open one of the existing notebooks on Acts, select all of the notes it contains by clicking the first note, then clicking the last note while holding the Shift key. * A dialog will appear, letting you adjust some data for all of the selected items. * Click the dropdown under Notebook and choose the new notebook she created in the first step. * Then enter the passage she covered in the *Add tags* field. * Then click *Apply changes*. This will reduce the number of notebooks she's using while keeping her current grouping accessible in the *Filters* menu under the *Tags* heading.
- Thanks! I started looking into the Notes help docs and remembered the Tag functionality. She and I will look into this.
- Excellent! Let me know if you need any help with it.
