- Fearing nothing of this world is a ridiculous concept to some (including myself at times). What is ridiculous (that’s been an ongoing lesson for me) is putting my hope into something that is seen (Hope from Romans 8). So, I read, comprehend, analyze, do the math, observe, think critically, etc and see. 👀. I’ve found it’s been ok to be cautious of what I see, but when I’m consumed in fear from what I see, I had lost/forgot my hope and began to doubt. Hope in western and secular concepts comes with doubt (ie, “I hope this works.”) Hope in faith from what we can’t see comes from promise/covenant by God. Hebrews 11:1 ¶ Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. When the Lord is my light and strength… whom should I fear in this world?
- Well said Dan.
