Greetings everyone! If you are getting this email, it's because you were a partner in VBS or you currently partner with us kids ministry throughout the year. Children's ministry has grown directly from our VBS. Just last Wednesday we had 39 children in the program. While that was happening there were 44 students in the youth group! Things have been nuts! I would say that there is a healthy number of students and children that do not attend our church and I am excited for our opportunity to share Jesus with them! Anyway! At the end of our VBS we scheduled the debrief meeting, and one of the things that was said that would help was more communication and planning. I am happy to provide that :). Starting now you will begin to see regular emails at least every two weeks as we begin to prepare for VBS 2022. With this email I'd like a few things: 1. This Year's Theme 2. This Year's VBS Date 3. This Year's Planning Roadmap So here we go: This Year's Theme: "Studio Sparks" Theme Synopsis: Spark imagination and kick creativity into high gear at Spark Studios. In summer 2022, kids will learn that God’s creativity didn’t stop in Genesis. The Master Artist is working to redeem, reclaim, and transform us–His creation–to the design He planned for us. Kids will see the beautiful truth that they are God’s workmanship as they learn to use their talents to bring glory to Him. That is the following week after Longview Schools have ended for the summer. ​ ​Our Planning Road Map: ​ Two Weeks Before Distribute supplies and class folders Finalize room assignments Schedule decorating day. Don’t panic. Four Weeks Before Begin Pre-Registrations Continue to promote.  Two Months Before Mail invites to last years kids Begin other promotion efforts. Finalize Follow Up Procedures Three Months Before Order and distribute curriculum Finalize daily schedule Continue to train and enlist volunteers Begin to plan “Family Night”  Four Months Before Enlist a records leader Enlist Connection Leader Enlist photographer/videographer Continue to train and enlist volunteers Six Months Before Begin Officially Enlisting Volunteers Order the VBS Starter Kits Schedule/Host Monthly Planning Meetings Schedule/host decorating parties Nine Months Before Order Directors Kit Set Goal for attendance and Select Special Offering. Put VBS on the Calendar That's a lot of information, and more will be coming.
