Looking forward to our bike adventure on Saturday! It will start at Brown’s Creek Park, 8312 Neal Ave N in Stillwater (please carpool in case the parking lot is busy -there is another parking lot nearby if the first one is full). From there, we will coast along the creek into Stillwater and take the newly completed St Croix River Crossing Loop Trail across the impressive extradosed (hybrid box girder and stay cable) bridge into Wisconsin. Make sure your brakes are operational because there’s an exhilaratingly steep descent down to cross the historic lift bridge before we return back up the more gradual creek trail to our vehicles. The ride is a little less than 12 miles roundtrip, and those who are interested will grab an optional bite to eat afterwards. Be sure to bring sufficient water and dress appropriately for the weather (current forecast is a high of 50 degrees). Hopefully see you Saturday!
