Hello, and thanks for joining! I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you. Please introduce yourself and share your background, areas of expertise/interest, or what you are most looking forward to in being a part of this discussion.
I am the Robert L. Maclellan Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary and a contributor to the logos.com Mobile Ed program. My first love academically is Hebrew. I wrote Beginning Biblical Hebrew and publish the podcast Daily Dose of Hebrew. I have published a number of books on the Psalms and also served on the translation team for the book of Psalms in the New Living Translation, contributed study notes for The ESV Study Bible and The Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible, and contributed to the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and insights as we explore proper application of the bible, biblical Hebrew, dive into the content of resources I have written, and tackle challenging concepts together.

- Hello Dr. Futato: I am a recently retired partially disabled veteran. I have always wanted to become proficient in both Hebrew and Greek, but have never had the time with job and kids. I know the Greek alphabet from being a math minor and from studying some on my own. My goal is to become proficient in both Hebrew and Greek and to be a lifelong student of both. I have taught adult and children's Bible Studies and Sunday School for over 40 years. I believe that becoming proficient in both languages will help me to become a better and more effective teacher.
- Shalom:) I'm a senior pastor in a Korean church and a student in a Th.M degree for OT at Chongshin Theological Seminary. Nice to meet you Dr. Futato! I'm so passionate for learning the Biblical languages, especially Hebrew. I'm using Logos 8 and learning many tools to study Bible. I hope to learn more from you and have a good fellowship in Christ. Thank you! God bless you!
