Congratulations to all of our actors, actresses, chorus, & backstage crew for a job well-done at this past weekend’s performances of Singin’ in the Rain, Jr!
From students who have a passion for the theater to those who decided to try something new, they knocked our socks off! Grades 5-8 got to tryout for the onstage roles, then those who weren’t onstage got to run the backstage including lights, sounds, scenery, & hair/makeup. Then our younger students got to fill out the songs in the chorus. Everyone was able to share their God-given gifts and talents in an important way! I would like to sincerely thank all of our volunteers that made this production happen--especially our directors & choreographers, parent-helpers, set builders, & concessions, this could not have happened without them!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, bid, volunteered, or helped in any way, shape, or form for the 2022 Havana Nights Auction Gala, as well! We hope you had a great time outbidding your neighbors, enjoying the camaraderie, & singing along to the dueling pianos. While the final numbers are still being calculated (once costs & other expenses are fully factored in), we wanted to share that based on our preliminary calculations, approximately $31,000 was raised from the evening’s activities of Live Auction, Silent Auction, Games, Wine Pull, & the Paddle Raise! Over $7,000 of that was raised specifically for the outdoor playground updates and outdoor classroom space for all of our students. Incredible!
Additionally, as we been generously blessed with these funds, we are also called to give to God what is God’s. As is tradition for this event, 10% of the proceeds will be given to Immanuel’s Tuition Assistance Fund. We were also able to provide almost 50 meals & desserts to Lazarus House as a result of our event!
We can’t wait to share God's goodness with our students, faculty, & classrooms as a result of your incredible generosity. God is good, all the time!
