- Our daily family motto is "Armor Up!" We must PUT ON the WHOLE armor of God every day because our battle is "against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." Ephesians 6:12-13 The only way to fight the battles that we face is on our knees, with our Bibles open, living in righteousness and faith. "The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous man runs to it and is safe." Prov. 18:10 Yes, spiritual warfare still works in the 21st Century. The problem is, most Christians are not "armoring up." Ephesians 6 tells us that we must PUT ON and TAKE UP our armor. That requires action from us. I tell my children that no one can go into a battle without armor and a strong defense and expect to win the battle. We must ARMOR UP in order to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Spiritual Warfare
On Wednesday Night, August 17th, at 6:30pm, we will study Spiritual Warfare. I’ve received lots of requests for this study probably because of all the changes we have experienced in the last few years. We look at the world we live in and we're overwhelmed. The “High Places” in the world and among the nations are being held by leaders who are making decisions that are unbiblical, unholy, and illogical. We go to our jobs and send our children to school and often find leaders whose daily business practices are sometimes immoral, unethical, or illegal. Even some so called Christian denominations and churches are being led by people whose methods are unspiritual and unscriptural. Closer to home, we often have family members who are unbelievers and some even living lifestyles that are ungodly and self-destructive. How shall we then live (Eze 33:10)?
We watch TV or go online and hear some preacher or teacher telling us that we need to practice "Spiritual Warfare" from Ephesians 6. They say that if we are filled with the Spirit enough, if we claim “words of faith” enough, if we “pray with authority” enough, if we "plead the blood of Christ" strongly enough, if we “bind Satan” tightly enough – then we should be able to “move these mountains.”
So you pray as boldly and strongly as you know how – and nothing seems to happen in the high places of government, the middle places at work, or the lower places at home. And then those "fiery darts" of the Devil: disappointment, doubt, and depression leave you in despair.
That will be our Wednesday Night Question of the Week:
Does Spiritual Warfare still work in the 21st Century?
