Let him who has ears to hear...hear! Listen up! MARK YOUR CALENDAR! We will be observing Hanukkah on Sunday evening December 18, 2022 @ 5:00pm at The C. We will begin with the meal time so bring your favorite dish to pass (no pork or shellfish please.) Any favorite is fine to bring. Traditional foods are: brisket, latkes (potato pancakes), Kugel (a traditional Jewish egg noodle casserole) and other scrumptious dishes. Search the internet for lots of great Hanukkah ideas. Following dinner we have an interesting and compelling and informative message to watch from Ray Hughes on the nature of light and sound! You will not want to miss this! It is very challenging and may move us all to get out of our comfort zones! More to come on this later. Please make every effort to be with us for this night of celebration of The Light of the World!

Here is some excellent background on Hanukkah from Hebrew for Christians: https://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Winter_Holidays/Chanukah/chanukah.html
Chanukah (חנוכה) - Dedicated Against Assimilation
The Hebrew word chanukah means dedication and marks an eight day Jewish celebration recalling the rededication of the Second Temple after its defilement by the Syrians.

1John 1:5 This is the message which we heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Amen
