- Interesting!
- Many teachers can shape our views and guide our thinking. Sometimes this can be very dangerous! Other times can be an extreme blessing. Coming into a balanced perspective is often difficult because it may require of us that we loosen the hold that a structured belief system may have had on our own beliefs and opinions! What a conundrum! As we seek diligently to know His Truth as expressed through His Son, it can set us free and should! He says we have not because we ask not! I'm learning to ask for revelation by Holy Spirit of the simple truths found in His Word. If we ask...we will receive! It really is that simple. Our part though is to diligently seek Him. Will you do that with me? Please read the article at this link and see if it compels a deeper seeking in you like it has in me!Torah Awareness for the ChristianWhy Christians should study Torah -- a short case for 'Torah Awareness' for the Christian life.hebrew4christians.com

- Oil and the Oil Press By Asher Intrater [Asher Intrater is the senior leader of a Messianic congregation in Israel. Asher's perspectives and insights are highly valued both in the Holy Land and beyond. He is also personal friend of Pastor Frangipane. Our ministry is committed both to Israel and to the many excellent leaders in Israel's emerging church. For more information about Asher's ministry, please visit their website: www.revive-israel.org.] Oil and the Oil Press By Asher Intrater The name Gethsemane in Hebrew is "Gat Shmanim," meaning "Oil Press." It is the place where olives are brought and crushed; the skin and pit are strained and separated. The result is pure olive oil. Oil is a consistent biblical symbol for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. There is little doubt that Yeshua chose this place with this name on purpose. We all want the oil; we want the anointing; the power of the Holy Spirit. The anointing oil brings protection, provision, and prosperity (Psalm 23:5), wisdom and authority to rule (I Samuel 16:13), joy (Psalm 45:7, Hebrews 1:9), healing and deliverance (Mark 6:13, James 5:14), light and revelation (Exodus 25:6, I John 2:27, Revelation 3:18); ability to preach and prophecy (Isaiah 61:1), intimacy in worship (Song of Solomon 1:3, Matthew 25:3, Mark 14:3), and much more. There is a dynamic relationship between the oil and the press. They are opposites that balance out one another. At Gat Shmanim Yeshua embraced the cross. He forced His will to submit (Matthew 26:39). It is a place of darkness, depression, and difficulty (Matthew 26:37). It is a place of self denial (Matthew 16:24); a place to be crushed; to obey unto death; to be tested; to pass through humiliation and suffering; to intercede to the point of blood, sweat, and tears. The oil certainly seems more attractive than the oil press. Yet there is no oil without the press. The oil is produced at the oil press. There is no other way to produce true oil. On the other hand, the purpose of the press is to obtain the oil. To suffer in obedience without obtaining that oil is not according the heart of God. The press is for the oil. The oil comes from the press.
- Very good!!!
- As we approach "New Years Day" on our secular calendar, let's not forget to pay attention to the times, days, seasons spoken of in His Word! John Parsons from Hebrew For Christians has written a great article on this important topic. Read on: https://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Calendar/Gregorian/gregorian.htmlThe Gregorian Calendar and Pagan AssumptionsThe Gregorian Calendar and Pagan Assumptions. Should followers of the Jewish Messiah celebrate the civil New Year? Of course we should abstain from the revelry of the world and its carnivals, but should we otherwise regard January 1st as a divinely appointed time to reflect over our lives and to mak…www.hebrew4christians.com

- Let him who has ears to hear...hear! Listen up! MARK YOUR CALENDAR! We will be observing Hanukkah on Sunday evening December 18, 2022 @ 5:00pm at The C. We will begin with the meal time so bring your favorite dish to pass (no pork or shellfish please.) Any favorite is fine to bring. Traditional foods are: brisket, latkes (potato pancakes), Kugel (a traditional Jewish egg noodle casserole) and other scrumptious dishes. Search the internet for lots of great Hanukkah ideas. Following dinner we have an interesting and compelling and informative message to watch from Ray Hughes on the nature of light and sound! You will not want to miss this! It is very challenging and may move us all to get out of our comfort zones! More to come on this later. Please make every effort to be with us for this night of celebration of The Light of the World!
