Is it possible to save a template so that when I choose a background for a song and select "Apply as Smart Media", the song lyrics box is a set width, the font is set to a set font and the font size is set to a set size. So in other words, when I choose a background and apply as smart media, I want the box width to already be set and the font and font size to already be set instead of me changing this (almost) every time.
- Oh! I think I get it. In proclaim, all the song backgrounds in general are already smart media already. So they have their own style baked in. So you would want to make your own smart media with the right sizes and positions with just a plain background. Then set that as default. Then each song you add will start out correct and you would use the ‘Apply as background’ option to just swap out the background to the one you liked/picked.
- Sort of. When I choose a background and do "Apply as Smart Media", whatever baked in formatting (fonts, font sizes, colors, etc) gets applied to my slide. It would be kind of nice if I could set a default font, font size, text box width somewhere in the system and have that not change. What I've been doing, after asking around and reading responses from people, is save a template from a song that has all the right fonts, font sizes, text box widths, and text formatting set and applying that first then going to find my actual background I want to use and clicking "Apply as background." When I was first learning the software, a lot of videos said to use "Apply as Smart Media" so that's what I've been doing. However, that means any baked in formatting from a background gets applied to your slide. Would be nice to have the option somewhere to set a default font, font size, text color, text box width so I don't have to apply a template every time (even though I can also Shift + click multiple songs and apply the template to all songs, but then have to go into each individual song to change the background if I want a different background for each separate song).
- Alternatively, if I could save a template and choose what elements are actually part of the template that I apply in bulk, that could work too. Like being able to check all attributes EXCEPT the background (if I happen to already have a background I like applied to a song, apply the template, then I don't have to reapply the background afterwards).
