Joanne Current Update: Joanne is in ICU recovering. Surgery goals were all accomplished. Unfortunately they discovered a significant infection in her heart that required a lot of attention to remove. They are now doing tests to assess the impact of the infection in her body and particularly her brain. The stroke like symptoms she was having are most likely the result of the infection. So the source of the concerns appears to be settled. Now she needs to recover from the infection and we are believing for no long term impact from the infection. She is awake and they will be having her sit up soon. Steve is praising God for all the results and good care she’s receiving. Keep praying. They might move her to a room later today if all proceeds well. ——————————————————— Please hold up in prayer Joanne Gonder in her surgery today and Steve as he waits. Father, You are the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-5) and we come to you looking for help in our time of need. Holy Spirit you are our ‘helper’ (Jn. 14:16) and we need divine healing in our bodies. Jesus you came to us as a healer of sickness and disease and we look to you for our health, because you inspired our faith to believe you are able and willing to still heal today. You said that the ‘sick need a doctor’ (Mark 2:17) and you showed us in the gospels that you are the great physician (Matthew 4:23). Guide the doctors hands and grant them skill and wisdom above all they’ve trained and gained through their study and experience. Be with every technician and every attending nurse to provide support and care. Bless them in their service and help them do what they are there to do in love, compassion, skill with patience and endurance. We ask for full health, complete restoration and the mending of Joanne’s body. We thank you for answering our prayers and strengthening our faith as we see you display your power in her body for your glory. Holy Spirit, We ask for her healing, so that she might be able to fully enjoy her life and serve you unhindered by physical harassment, painful distraction and depleted energy that comes from prolonged problems of health. We confess our sins, pray and share our weaknesses with one another in the hope that in ministering in faith to one another through obedience to your word and right alignment with Your will and the direction of the Holy Spirit, we might be fully restored to health. In the authority and power of Jesus’s name and the blood of Christ, we bind every work of satan and the darkness that he seeks to bring into our lives. We pray divine protection over us and rebuke all evil by the grace and power of the Lord Jesus. In Jesus name, amen.
