As many will likely be aware, the Faithlife app is being decommissioned.
We use the record sermon function on our proclaim program and our congregation access those sermons via the proclaim app. What accommodations are being made to ensure this function is maintained for our users? The information provided by Faithlife on the decommissioning of its other assets was unclear on this topic and the online chat function via the website hasn’t as yet yielded and answer.
- The Proclaim remote is not going anywhere! In fact, we just updated it, and have a new server-side solution staged to improve reliability that we will be switching to soon! As for Faithlife, you can still access it via the browser on your phone. And sermons can be accessed on sermons.logos.com

I’m really struggling to find a solution for our situation. As a church we really went “all in” on the Faithlife platform especially as a means of our congregation accessing the sermons in a convenient and semi-secure manner, as recently as this week we’ve had 4 new members requesting access to the group app. So I can’t help but feel very let down that there doesn’t seem to be a better solution than what’s being proposed. Forgive me if I’m sounding more than a little frustrated at this development, at this point I’ve personally invested thousands into Logos, proclaim and Faithlife softwares and I feel completely robbed, every other year it’s a new financial scheme that forces you to choose between making a further significant investment or abandoning the softwares and with it your previous investment, coupled with things like the pro-media bundle not being value for money, Faithlife TV offloading “exclusive” content for free on YouTube that I paid for previously and the costs of constantly updating Logos software ALL just seem to add further kindling for the fire. I feel like Logos/Faithlife are not really interested in honouring those who have been faithful to them as a company. We are a small independent church and my position is entirely voluntary, despite this I still need to demonstrate to my pastor that I am being a wise steward of church finances with regards to these software systems and as such I had borne much of the cost of your programs on myself until such time as I could no longer do that. I’m now completely lost as to how to justify continued support of your service yet at the same time we are so heavily invested in it I don’t actually know where I should go either. I could be completely wrong and your new infrastructure will be of no additional cost to those of us who have invested so much already in you but at this stage, given the track record I’m unsure that’s the case.- @ian, I am in the same boat, so to speak. We have all this printed material and cards, QR codes, etc. The faithlife app was free and is how we were able to get so many of our congregation transitioning to digital. No the logos app is still there, but requires an account - and that is too much work to get many of our older folks to go to yet another app. This whole millennial paradigm of not staying with something very long is confusing and illogical for many older folks. They are willing to learn, but time is running out for training since we have nothing to train with yet. our biggest frustration is the FL giving part. we jumped in on that with both feet as well. And now many folks that have set up automatic giving. They/we are not frustrated that there are notices that it is going away. I have filled out the paperwork and attended the transition webinar. they said it might take days, but it has been weeks. And I still have not heard back on our next steps. There will not be a transition between the systems at this point because the FL giving will soon be sunsetted/decommissioned, and we still don't have something in its place yet. Without a long overlap of both services, we will likely lose offerings as people are confused about what is happening.
