    I have used slides for years, but a member of our church once shared an incredible insight I hadn't thought of before: since he was hard of hearing, audible-only deprived him of the gist of any message. But being able to SEE the slides was a welcome addition; now he COULD get the gist of the message and the more salient portions.

  3. I had used a slide of the temple in one of my earliest sermons. A member of our church came up and exclaimed that she finally got it. She had a poster of the temple at her home, but she still didn't clearly understand it. The preaching of the word of God and demonstrating with a slide of the temple brought it all together for her.
