Proclaim

Had an issue with audio in version 4.0.0.0006. We had a Dolby 5.1 surround video that used to play fine in previous versions, but no audio would play from any video source once that video started. I removed the video and went back on air and it worked fine. I submitted logs from the computer that had the problem. Windows was up to date. What does Proclaim use on a Windows 11 machine? I didn't think that Windows Media Player was used by Microsoft anymore in Win11. Perhaps Proclaim could make use of VLC Media Player if it is present. I'd love to make use of the Dolby Atmos system in the theatre that we meet in.

    Hello,
    Steven Stoops
-- Thank you for submitting those logs. I'll have to confirm with the Developers if there is anything which those Logs show us. I'll also have to confirm whether WMP is still at use in Proclaim...

I'd love it if they could make use of VLC Media Player (assuming it is present on a machine). Or find a way to use mkv files :-) I found the method for updating the WMP Legacy that is on the presentation computer and it fixed the problem

I take it back, it still won't play any audio after playing the 5.1 surround audio in my clip,

. Other then going off air then back on, nothing I do will make any audio play after the surround clip. I sent logs from that computer again. It may be the Atmos system that we use, but maybe they'll see something in the logs.
