Is there a way to change the default setting for text effects? Specifically, when I use text like song lyrics, I usually prefer to use white letter with a black outer stroke. However, I can not find a way to click the check box for Outer Stroke, and have it automatically apply a 4.0 or 5.0 pixel black swatch. It always automatically defaults to a white color, and I have to go into the Edit menu and apply one of my saved presets. Is there a way to set it up so that preset is the default when I first click on the check box?

How have you set your default song item?

EDIT: I figured it out, your question led me to what I needed to figure out. Thanks! My response below details the answer. I'm sorry, I thought I originally posted this in the Forums and could not find the original post, was going crazy, until I looked here today! However, choosing the default song item (at least how the Help Center said to in this page: https://support.faithlife.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007374171-Can-I-Change-the-Default-Media-for-My-Service-Items-) doesn't help change the default font settings. Any other settings I should look for to fix the font settings? I think importing a font might do it, but I would just like to fix the default fonts that come with the program.

I finally figured it out. Your question led me to the correct solution. I just had to create a new style once I had a set of text configured the way I wanted. If anyone is interested, I use Museo Sans Bold, Size 94, with a white font (0xFFFFFF), a 270 degree black drop shadow with 3 pixel depth, 6 pixel blur; black outer glow 2 pixel size, 15 pixel spread; and black outer stroke size 4 pixels. This text is larger enough and has enough contrast to display clearly on pretty much any color (or combination of colors) background for just about any distance depending on TV/Screen size.
