Update: Today is 5/23/24, and the issue I posted on 12/8/23 still has not been resolved. I copied and pasted that problem with the hopes that someone can help. I will also upload a screen shot to show the issue. Ever since the latest update, this feature, which I use every day, has switched to a weird cross between light mode and dark mode. That is, the background is still in dark mode, but the canvas itself is in light mode, so because my default setting is dark mode, my words are in the default setting, which is white, but since the canvas background is white, the only words I can see are the prepositions (because I changed those words to orange). Yes, I could change the colors of the words, but that is besides the fact. Not only does this defeat the idea of having dark mode, but I would have to go back and switch thousands of outlines just so I can see them. I hate this new layout. Can you please give us the option to switch it back to what it was prior to the update?

  2. I was able to get a copy of your document and I also see the problem. It looks to me like the text color is explicitly set to white, since when I change the text color it becomes visible. We'll keep looking to track down what is happening.

  3. Well, I found some really surprising behavior here. The "defaults" are only changed *when no nodes are selected*. To fix this problem for newly created documents: 1. Open a sentence diagram 2. Make sure no nodes are selected 3. Use the Text menu to change the color to black To me, when I click the color, it looks like nothing has happened, but I think that is the "expected" behavior right now. So click in faith and then test by creating a new document and inserting a passage. I don't think there is an easy way to fix old documents other than by selecting the nodes with Ctrl+A then changing the color to black. Any nodes that were intentionally set to another color would have to be reapplied.
