I really appreciate the Canvas feature. I find it far more useful than AI as it helps me study in a way that is effective for me. That being said, Canvas seems to have stopped being developed aggressively. It is not yet mature. It would be great to be able to drag and drop reorder the pages on a Canvas to the sequence I want logically rather than simply in the order I create them.
Also, I think Canvas is at its best on a tablet where I can type or freehand draw. The implementation on iOS requires opening the page in a browser, which I have found functional but buggy (and you also lose a lot of screen real estate!). My biggest request would be making Canvas available in the iOS app. I would pay a pretty hefty memory price for that in terms of the size of the app if that is what it would take.
Thanks for this aspect of the program. Keep developing it!
- Thanks for the feedback, Ryan Schildroth. I use Canvas quite a bit, too. I enjoy thinking through relationships among texts and concepts visually and spatially. I'd love to see an example Canvas that shows how you use it.
- I think I use it a little differently each time. I like to dissect a passage and make links and highlights within that passage and its context and then insert other related passages. Sometimes I draw diagrams to illustrate what I am observing. Really, I like to visually manipulate what I am studying based on what I am observing.
