You’re invited to our Galatians Bible study, with the aid of Jason Micheli's book "A Quid Without Any Quo" ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/1666744506 ), every Tuesday starting February 13th, 2024, starting at 7pm UK (11 am Pacific / 2 pm Eastern on most weeks).

This is an informal layperson gathering to read and discuss Galatians in the spirit of metanoia, a changing of mind. Many, not all of us, belonged to high-control and works-based religious communities which removed the very notions of salvation by Grace. Our objective is to read scripture in a spirit of curiosity and love, communing with spirit which inspired the Scriptures, interpreting them with the lenses of Grace and Gospel.

You don't need to own or have read "A Quid Without Any Quo" to attend or participate, but we strongly recommend that you do, as it was selected as one of the top theology books of 2023 by Christian publisher Mockingbird.

For the interests of being of one accord in our discussions, we will respect the five solae:

1. Sola Scriptura: Scripture alone is the ultimate authority in matters of faith.

2. Sola Fide: Salvation is by faith alone, without reliance on good works.

3. Sola Gratia: Salvation is by God's grace alone, not earned by human merit.

4. Solus Christus: Christ alone is the mediator between God and humanity.

5. Soli Deo Gloria: Glory is to be ascribed to God alone in all aspects of life.

This group is open to and will be attended by people of various persuasions and convictions within the Christian umbrella. We will not welcome comments critical of the beliefs, practices and/or moral codes of Christians different from us. Also, given Romans 2:1-16, there will be no tolerance for speaking against those who identify as, or are practicing anything remotely related to the things listed in Romans 1 or 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. All sinners are called to be reconciled to God through Christ, justified through Grace, and rectified by the power of the Holy Spirit.
