Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will. Proverbs 21:30-31 No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD. I think all of 1 Kings 21 could be a big plot arc with several smaller plots within it…what do you think?

    I agree! Much to learn from that section. Two things that stood out to me are “vexed and sullen” and “his wife incited”. May I not be vexed and sullen when I don’t get my own way, and may I not incite my husband to evil!

    From Proverbs 21, first 21:1 always reminds me of

    . Thank you, brother, for your reminder of that truth over the years.. Besides the warnings for wives (😬), 21:23 stood out to me because it is an area where I intend to grow with the Spirit’s help, Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.
