Good morning. I hope this is the right place to post this question. If not, I apologize in advance for cluttering up this group chat.
Anyone else out there having issues with Digital Media not picking up and displaying your own programming once you go "live" with your service? We have a couple of TVs in our foyer and nursery that are connected to Digital Media app. They would always display the "canned" slides provided through the app until we went live with our service, at which point these screens would begin to broadcast our service into these areas. This has been a problem for months now. We are using a FireTV in one area and an Amazon FireTV Stick in another. I have logged out of, deleted and reinstalled the app on both TVs. Nothing changes. We're still only getting the canned slides with no broadcast of our service. Very frustrating.
I have reached out to support, but I get the feeling that they don't really know how to help. They keep asking me to connect to a different browser (how does one do that since this is an app on a TV?) and send them pictures or video of what is wrong so they can better understand. It just seems like they don't know anything about what I'm asking. That is also frustrating. Thanks in advance for any advice.
- Sorry for the issues, and I am sorry for the back and forth with support. I feel like what they are asking is for you to take your same sign feed you are using on the Fire TVs and try it on the browser on your computer. Then go On Air with your presentation and see if it works there. That might point to some kind of issue with the FireTV. In Proclaim, you can open your feed in Open > Open sign feed. And then once it is open, the 'share' button will let you copy the link. Additionally, this might sound silly, but you do have the option checked to "Show On Air presentations"? You can check by clicking the gear icon near the share button I mentioned earlier.
- Thank you, Jordan! Your instructions were very easy to follow. I was able to open the sign feed on my PC web browser, and in that scenario, the Digital Sign feed did pick up the service once I had the program go live. I also checked the settings for the two FireTV Sign Feeds, and all the correct boxes are checked, as far as I can tell. What might be my next steps to get the FireTV issue resolved?
