- Jamie Wiley since our CCLI license allows us to play any music, I think I will initially pursue downloading some of the instrumental backing tracks from The Worship Zone. I've auditioned a few of them and the quality is pretty good and suitable for me to play guitar and sing along to. The new challenge is to find the best and most robust way to play these backing tracks so that I don't have to rely on our tech person who has a million and one other things to think about at the same time. I will keep you informed about what solution I eventually land on.
- Jamie Wiley I have purchased the following device for playing backing tracks. It was reasonably priced (though I don't know the cost of shipping to the USA) and is a pretty robust unit with professional XLR connections and the capability to play mp3 tracks from USB media, SD cards and bluetooth. It has dual channels and the ability to mix & crossfade between the two. Here's the link - https://www.thomann.co.uk/the_t.mix_201_usb_play.htm
- We use recorded music every other week and just have the play the mp3 from proclaim (have it attached to the lyrics so it just starts playing when the title slide goes up). We have an older mixer, so use a DI between computer audio & xlr. We still have a worship leader singing along with the recorded music.
