In 1 Thessalonians 3:1-6, Paul explains why he sent Timothy back to Thessalonica—to encourage the believers and strengthen them in their faith during a time of trial. It is a truth that many would rather avoid, yet one that Scripture consistently teaches: faithfulness to Christ does not exempt believers from hardship. Instead, God often uses trials to strengthen, refine, and establish His people.
