God’s kindness appeared in Jesus; is it still showing up through us? In Titus 3:1–8, Paul says we were once foolish and enslaved, but God saved us by mercy, not because of works, washing and renewing us by the Holy Spirit. From that identity—washed, justified, heirs—we are to be ready for good works, speak evil of no one, avoid quarrels, and show gentleness and courtesy to all.
