This study of Genesis 25–50 explores the roots of the gospel. Earlier in Genesis, God made a covenant with Abraham. Now, the story of Abraham’s descendants unfolds. Isaac, Jacob, and their children become the focal points. Sin and brokenness are present in abundance, making the necessity for transformation clear. In the midst of all this brokenness, God used imperfect people to advance His perfect plans. God transformed Jacob so completely that he received a new name.
