La Théologie de l’Ancien Testament d’Œhler se divise en théologie de Moïse, des Prophètes et des Hagiographes (Loi, Prophétisme et Sagesse). Publié sous la forme de 2 volumes papier cet ouvrage est composé de 3 parties. De ces trois parties, la première est à elle seule beaucoup plus considérable que les deux dernières. Elle ne paraît donc pas tout entière dans le volume 1 ; nous en avons réservé les deux derniers chapitres, qui traitent des cérémonies du culte et des fêtes solennelles des Hébreux, pour notre second volume, qui s’ouvrira par les importants paragraphes où Œhler pose les bases de sa belle, — quoique peut-être incomplète — théorie de l’expiation.
