Top Highlights

“Worldliness is any preoccupation with or interest in the temporal system of life that places anything perishable before that which is eternal.” (Page 82)

“It has an important message for the church today: false doctrine and sin are not to be allowed—even under the banner of love, toleration, and unity.” (Page 96)

“It seems best, however, to understand the white stone in light of the Roman custom of awarding white stones to the victors in athletic contests. A white stone, inscribed with the athlete’s name, served as his ticket to a special awards banquet. In this view, Christ promises the overcomers entrance to the eternal victory celebration in heaven.” (Page 91)

“The Gospels are also about Jesus Christ, but present Him in His first coming in humiliation; the book of Revelation presents Him in His second coming in exaltation. Every vision and description of Him in Revelation is one of majesty, power, and glory.” (Page 16)

“As it had in Israel, the honeymoon had ended at Ephesus. The loss of a vital love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ opened the doors to spiritual apathy, indifference to others, love for the world, compromise with evil, judgment, and, ultimately, the death of the church altogether. Despite its outwardly robust appearance, a deadly spiritual cancer was growing at the heart of the Ephesian church.” (Page 63)

Hmmm, something seems a bit fishy here. You can purchase the entire set for $599. OR, you can get them during the March Madness for 30% off... Only problem, when you add them ALL to your cart, you find that the 30% off translates to a total sum of $553.61, only a true savings of 8%. I'm feeling a bit hood winked here. I suppose this is why the are ONLY offering the individual books and not the entire set at 30% off. Just seems a bit dishonest to me, but that's just my two cents worth:( Don't suppose I'll be getting after all...
