Digital Logos Edition
The Advancement unapologetically presents the biblical solution as the only satisfactory worldview for modern life in contrast to the naturalistic worldview that dominates thought today. A unique Christian apologetic approaching Darwinian naturalism from a history-of-ideas perspective, Bush argues that progress and advancement are better metaphors to characterize the late twentieth century and early twenty-first century than the term postmodern. The illusion of spiritual progress is now no truer than it was during the Enlightenment of the eighteenth century.
“The correct worldview is the one that does not contradict, misunderstand, or deny any part of reality.” (Page 85)

“First, it is assumed that physical similarity among living beings is an indication of a historical biological linkage.” (Page 66)
“What modern secular scientists believe is far more incredible than any biblical miracle accepted by the simple Christian believer.” (Page 29)
“Fourth, the necessary source of codes and information retrieval systems is precisely what is not found in nonliving matter.” (Page 82)
