The book Soul Whisper by Gary Comer focuses on evangelism differently than what we have been doing. He shows that the telling method of evangelism is no longer as effective. He backs this up with the change of the culture being a post-modern Christian culture and realism. He also brings in the proof by looking at church attendance and the growth of other religions. He talks about how the church and world know that people are not just sitting around waiting to hear Jesus. He recognizes a critical reality: people are not passively waiting for the message of Jesus; rather, more proactive engagement is required to lead them to faith.
