Overview

Ever feel lost in translation? With the NET Full-notes Edition of the Holy Bible, you don’t need to be. Modern readers can find it challenging to connect with the ancient words and cultural contexts of the biblical writers. The NET offers a completely new solution: pairing a readable, everyday English translation with the largest set of translators’ notes ever created for a Bible. The NET’s 60,000 notes bring complete transparency to every major translation decision and invite you to look over the translators’ shoulders, allowing you to come to your own understanding of the Scriptures. It is an indispensable resource for every Bible reader.

The Second Edition contains updated text and notes.

  • Overcomes the tension between accuracy and readability
  • Highlights every major decision, outline alternative views, and explain difficult or nontraditional renderings
  • Examines questions and suggestions through the very best in biblical linguistics and textual criticism
The extensive and reliable notes in The NET Bible were a wonderful help to our translation team as we worked to prepare the English Standard Version.

—Wayne Grudem, Member of Translation Oversight Committee, ESV

There are many wonderful things I could say about The NET Bible, but the most important is this: The NET Bible is a Bible you can trust. The translation is clear, accurate, and powerful. And the notes, those wonderful notes! They bring to the layman scholarly insights and discussions that have up till now been accessible only to those trained in the biblical languages. If you are serious about studying Scripture, get a copy of The NET Bible.

—Chuck Swindoll

The NET Bible is ingenious. Its continuously updated translation, supported by an array of quality footnotes on the original languages, will be an invaluable resource for pastors, missionaries and well-trained laymen. Bringing instant access to the best research with just a few clicks, The NET Bible has truly brought a visionary form to a timeless function. It’s a great step in the Church's preparation for the next millennium.

—Gene Getz, President of the Center for Church Renewal

This is an excellent tool, a model of conciseness. It should be useful for students, translators, and those preparing to teach or preach in the church.

—William R. Farmer, Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Southern Methodist University

This Bible is a triumph: a straightforward and accurate translation that is also elegant. The annotations are much fuller and more helpful than in other popular translations, and the production of a constantly-improving electronic text brings Bible reading and Bible study into the new millennium.

—Philip R. Davies, Professor at the Department of Biblical Studies of The University of Sheffield

I love the NET Bible and its notes. I own the printed Full Notes Edition, so I k ow what I SHOULD be seeing in Logos. I supposedly own this (plus the prior editions and the Release 1 Notes edition which is missing a LOT of notes - most of them in fact). But in this edition I can’t see ANY of the notes on Mobile. It is downloaded to my device. View Settings are set to show notes. WHERE ARE THEY?

Most compelling translation that explain English word choice for clarity of the original text. Letting the scripture speak for itself - Compelling! A separate publication of just the "Notes" (like the NET1Notes) would be useful for highlighting and embedding personal Logos Notes on NET2 Notes.

there are errors in the text, see 2Ch 13:15, also typos in punctuation (quote marks which cause confusion), ex: Esther 8:7f, Isa 6:10. First reported to Logos 7-2024.

I wish the notes were split out like every other annotated bible I own

Please, split it in two individual resources to better use.

Since the initial version I use NET Bible for study and now (2nd edition) I use even for my regular reading (when reading in English). It's so great to know that in case there is any issue with the text, we get translation notes on that and this way we can know the reasoning behind the translation. I find it so helpful.
