The International Journal of Urban Transformation (IJUT) is an annual academic journal dedicated to a scholarly investigation and research, and analysis of urban issues and trends affecting best practices in urban missiology and applicable in the areas of the world, not least among the urban poor. As such, this journal is a forum for the exchange of ideas and research between urban missiologists and practitioners who are interested in advancing the kingdom of God.

This commentary series is written from the perspective that much of the Bible was written with cities in mind and intended for an urban audience. Each volume will have Bible Exposition written by a capable Bible scholar and Urban Ministry Commentary sidebar insights written by an urban specialist. We have titled this series the Polis Bible Commentary, using the Greek word πόλις (polis).

The Urban Ministry in the 21st Century is a series of monographs that addresses key issues facing those involved in urban ministry whether it be in the slums, squatter communities, favelas, or in immigrant neighborhoods. It is our goal to bring fresh ideas, a theological basis, and best practices in urban mission as we reflect on our changing urban world. The contributors to this series bring a wide-range of ideas, experiences, education, international experience, and perspectives on the study of the growing field of urban ministry.
