• Pray for Glenda Maxwell, pastor’s wife at Jamestown Baptist Church. Glenda was diagnosed with untreatable breast cancer two years ago. At her last doctor’s appointment, she was told the mass was showing signs of dying! The area near the mass, however, has become infected. Please pray for Glenda’s continued and complete healing.

      1. We are excited to launch this site as Jamestown Assembly of God becomes The Assembly. This name is appropriate as it connects to our identity as an Assemblies of God church. More than that, "Assembly" refers to a group of coming together for a common and united purpose. As a verb, it means to fitting together component parts into a cohesive, functional unit; to put together what has been broken into pieces. Our prayer is that The Assembly will be a place where the broken and disenfranchised will find healing and wholeness in a community of faith.
        1. I received some bad news last night, that April and Doug Brantley have decided to leave the church. In the midst of my discouragement, God's words came to me, "Do not be discouraged or dismayed." Today, these are the repeated words of the Bible reading plan I began today. God is for us. We cannot let the devil have victory over us! God loves this community and wants it to grow. We just have to be faithful to his voice.
