• Hi everyone, Sorry! I forgot to post earlier this week. The aim is to be up to chapter 12 by this Sunday and chapter 15 by the time we get to Pizza & Ponderings on Friday the 2nd. No stress if you haven't read that much - they are short chapters. Keep going and let's encourage one another next Friday night!

      1. Hi Book Club. How are we doing? I just finished first three chapters. I've been encouraged to turn the tap on God's grace by reading the Bible. I think I'm going to read through the Bible in a Year again next year too. How are you going? See if you can finish Chapter 6 this week!

        1. Hi Book Readers. Most of us have already grabbed a copy of Habits of Grace. The chapters are very short. Let's aim to read to the end of Chapter 3 this week. If you haven't yet got a copy - I'll have them again this Sunday and you can always also drop in to my house and pick one up. Praying for you all. Read well!

                    1. I've found the topic of holiness confronting. I don't spend much time thinking about God's holiness and I think I instinctively see God's holiness as threatening. I haven't acclimated to the lofty heights of the topic of God's holiness, I hope as read on I develop some altitude fitness. Jackie's style, the way she plays with words and syntax causes me to slow down and reread sections. I've enjoyed this and found it refreshing, but I also think it helpfully puts me in a state of mind where I'm think slowly and carefully. Here is a quote I appeciate for its fundamental nature. "The soil from which all sin grows is unbelief... the sin begetting all others is a specific belief about about God."

                  2. New book has arrived and will have it for you this arvo at the Gathering. $20 for the book. You can pay same as you do at dinner. I'll have them on a table to grab in the same place you pay for dinner. Looking forward to reading and growing with you all.
