WEEKLY PRAYER LIST: JUNE 9 – 19 !!!BEGINNING JUNE 20 THE PRAYER LIST WILL BE PREPARED AND DISTRIBUTED ON SUNDAY’S FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE!!!   “Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding so that I can learn Your commands. Those who fear You will see me and rejoice, for I put my hope in Your word. I know, Lord, that Your judgments are just and that You have afflicted me fairly. May Your faithful love comfort me as You promised Your servant. May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, for Your instruction is my delight. Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on Your precepts. Let those who fear You, those who know Your decrees, turn to me. May my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes so that I will not be put to shame. I long for Your salvation; I put my hope in Your word. My eyes grow weary looking for what You have promised; I ask, “When will You comfort me?” Though I have become like a wineskin dried by smoke, I do not forget Your statutes. How many days must Your servant wait? When will You execute judgment on my persecutors? The arrogant have dug pits for me; they violate Your instruction. All Your commands are true; people persecute me with lies—help me! They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon Your precepts. Give me life in accordance with Your faithful love, and I will obey the decree You have spoken. Lord, Your word is forever; it is firmly fixed in heaven. Your faithfulness is for all generations; You established the earth, and it stands firm. They stand today in accordance with Your judgments, for all things are Your servants. If Your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for You have given me life through them. I am Yours; save me, for I have sought Your precepts. The wicked hope to destroy me, but I contemplate Your decrees. I have seen a limit to all perfection, but Your command is without limit.” (Psalm 119:73–96, HCSB)   PRAYER REQUESTS;   PRAISE: Megan Schenewerk (Pastor Steve & Cindy’s daughter) has a JOB! – She is the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the National Association of Broadcasters base in Washington DC.               CHRISSY RICE – Pray for safe travel for Stuart (her son) as he travels home               HELEN GUILLORY – PRAISE: Sheri Hilde is doing better after some health challenges; PRAY for Chuck & Jenni (son and his girl-friend): pray for Jesus to make Himself real to them; Thomas Summers & family; Pray for Helen to manage her pain               JUDY KIRK – Pray for Holly (Judy’s sister) – Holly’s friend died suddenly               MAC & MARILYN MCALLISTER: Pray for Mac’s step-sister Sandy as she battles cancer; Pray for Marilyn’s friend Candy also battling cancer               GARY & MARIE WORTHINGTON – Pray for Mandy, Trey, Alec, Scott, Rhonda – that God’s love would cover their lives               NORMA – Pray for recovery from having skin cancer removed from thumb; pray for friend Frank – he fell and broke his hip; pray for Judy who suffers with epilepsy and memory issues               MARKIE – friend of the Hemmila’s who was in a car accident earlier in June – she now has a metal plate and 11 screws in her left leg; broken bones in her foot; her tongue was split but slowly healing               SHERY HINSON – Her sister’s pastor, who is on vacation, suffered an aneurism – pray for prompt treatment   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * KINGDOM CONCERNS:             The Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting occurs June 15-16 in Nashville, TN. Violet* is a relatively new, baptized believer who suddenly said that she wanted to study the Bible again. Previously, she'd said that she no longer had time for Bible study because she was working full-time and taking a class online. Praise God for her change of mind! But she mentioned again that it's difficult for her to understand and believe the Bible. This is due to the fact that when she was young, Violet was taught that Christians, the Bible, and biblical teachings were bad. Pray for Violet and other refugees of her people group who are Christians. Ask for God's truth to set them free from ideologies and lies that oppose God and the Bible. Pray for God to open their hearts and minds to understand His Word and take every thought captive to obey Christ. Ask for His truths to change them, resulting in a growing faith that believes God and His Word and lives its teachings. (*name changed)   Paul and Mary Kate Mannino June 9, 2021 • Kutztown, Pa. This unengaged, unreached people group numbers only 350 people; however, they are precious to God and hold a unique position within the Muslim community in the state of Rajasthan, India. The Khadim are 100% Sunni Muslim, and reside primarily in Ajmer, where a prominent "dargah," or Muslim saint shrine, is located. Many religious pilgrims frequent this "dargah" in hopes of receiving blessings, and the Khadim function as intermediary servants within this "dargah" system. In fact, the word "Khadim" means "servant" or "slave." Pray that the Khadim will learn about and be deeply impacted by the servanthood of Jesus, the Messiah, who "came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28 ESV). More than 350,000 new cases are being reported daily. There are shortages of hospital beds, oxygen supplies, life support equipment, and medicine. Many are unable to work because of the lockdown and can no longer afford food for their families. In crowded cities, social distancing is nearly impossible for the most impoverished. Send Relief partners are distributing food and face masks to the most vulnerable in cities throughout India. In addition, they are conducting trainings to help people understand how to prevent the spread of the virus. Because of these efforts, tens of thousands are receiving help – with more distributions and trainings being planned every day. You can be part of the response by donating to the COVID-19 Response Fund. Your gifts will provide food, health training, masks and hope in a time of unimaginable hurt. Thank you for sharing the love of Christ to those who need it most. To provide food, face masks and more, visit: https://imb.world/3nHZ186

Jonathan White is a collegiate/university missionary for Grizzly Christian Fellowship in Missoula, Mont. After eight years of collegiate ministry in Southern California, my wife, Joy, and I are in the process of joining a ministry called Grizzly Christian Fellowship at the University of Montana in Missoula, Mont. It is exciting to take the gospel to a place known by locals as “the school where faith goes to die.” We are overjoyed to join the efforts of Grizzly Christian Fellowship in seeing  students come to Christ and learn to make disciples who make disciples for the glory of God in the Northwest! Our greatest need in order to make this happen is housing. Missoula is flooded with buyers and renters, but there are no housing vacancies. This is driving costs through the roof! Please pray God will provide us a home large enough to host college students. Pray God will transform the lives of hardened atheistic students. Pray Christian students will take the Great Commission seriously and become disciple-making evangelists!   Yangon, Myanmar (yan-GONG) - Last April, you were asked to pray for Mr. Wilson,* a former Buddhist monk who surrendered his life to Jesus and was baptized. When he was baptized, this was his testimony: "I am in my fifties. All my life, I had been searching for God. But I could not find Him. It was like I was walking down a dark road and couldn't see anything around me. I tried to pray, but I never found any answers." Nearly one year later, Mr. Wilson's life is a testimony of the power of God. He is faithfully sharing the gospel wherever he goes. He is learning more about how to be a disciple and believes that God wants him to be an evangelist to unreached peoples. Whenever his pastor goes out to share the gospel, he asks to follow along to serve and share. Praise the Lord for His continued work in Mr. Wilson's life! Pray that Mr. Wilson will continue to grow in his faith so that he may be obedient in every good work that God has prepared for him to do (Ephesians 2:10). Ask that many will put their faith in Christ because of his bold witness. (*name changed)   Indigenous Cluster, Isolated Peoples of the Amazon Basin Team – Jenna* and Julia*, our two mid-term teammates, just returned from Lorococha*. They have given us great reports from their time ministering with the women there. Two women learned the first three stories in their indigenous language and are equipped to share with others. This was such an encouragement! Pray for Jenna* and Julia*  as they prepare for two more trips to Lorococha*. The first trip was 2/17-3/5, and the second trip will be 3/24-4/9. Pray for these amazing women as they continue to share the love of our Savior with the Rasha* and Akawa* women of Lorococha*. (*names changed)
                    1. Please pray.

WEEKLY PRAYER CONCERNS February 24 – March 2, 2021   Read the following passages prior to spending time asking God for the requests.     “Listen, Shepherd of Israel, who leads Joseph like a flock; You who sit enthroned on the cherubim, rise up before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Rally Your power and come to save us. Restore us, God; look on us with favor, and we will be saved.” (Psalm 80:1–3, HCSB)         “Children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard, “Antichrist is coming,” even now many antichrists have come. We know from this that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge. I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar, if not the one who denies that Jesus is the Messiah? This one is the antichrist: the one who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son can have the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well. What you have heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.” (1 John 2:18–25, HCSB)     PRAYER REQUESTS:   DONNA BADOUR:  Pray for Larry, Amanda, Melanie & Jameson Story to hear and respond to the gospel; Pray for Logan and Isabel also to hear and respond to the good news   BILL & MARLENE – pray for the various health concerns   JUDY KIRK – PRAISE: Insurance has agreed to pay for a necessary back surgery; MRI completed on Feb 23   JERRY & PHYLLIS DILLON – pray for their friend Richard’s friend struggling with leukemia   GARY WORTHINGTON – COVID test on March1; PET scan on March 5; Biopsy on lung March 8   BOB SHIGLEY – shoulder surgery March 3   PASTOR STEVE & CINDY – pray for Megan – still looking for the right job   CAROL YOUNG – pray for her and her family as they make hard decisions   KINGDOM PRAYING: Winston Assembly of God –             Pastor’s: Kevin and Allison Lindley             Assoc. John Transue is a chaplain serving the United States Secret Service field office in Atlanta, Ga. Give praise that Kathy and I have had both of our Moderna shots. We see hope. We have been sheltering since last March, except for our move from Pennsylvania to Augusta, Ga., on August 7. Pray that I will soon be able to drive the two hours to the Atlanta field office and that I will be effective there. COVID-19 has so far kept me from being introduced there. Both Kathy and I continue to lead a small-group Bible study at our church in Mechanicsburg, Pa., via Zoom. Pray we would be effective there as well.
