Hi everyone. I have a question regarding countdown... Can I add a countdown of my own design lets say on a static image somewhere on the top corner? For ex: I have a welcome image and I want to show a countdown on the top of the image on a smaller scale...
Thanks
Emil
- Really, emil vhk, other than using a video editing program that allows you to use luma or chroma video overlays, the only choice you have is the small countdown. The editing program is the best recommendation but there is a work around. This workaround takes a little work, but after you have done it once you're set. A while back I had a conversation with someone here about using text and auto advance to create a countdown. You can make the numbers as big as you want and place them wherever you want, but it takes some work. What I did was create 7 consecutive slides with the same background, then I typed a welcome message into the first slide and set it to auto advance in 5 seconds. On the next 5 slides I typed the countdown numbers like this (the first slide): 5:00 -- 4:59 -- 4:58 -- 4:57 -- 4:56 -- 4:55 etc All the way down to 4:00 and set that slide to advance every 1 second. the next slide would be the numbers from 3:59-3:00 and so on. On the last slide I just repeated the welcome message set to 5 seconds. Then I grouped the slides together and called it "Countdown Group" so I could add it any time to a presentation. When you add it to a new presentation you can change the background to whatever you wish and even move, enlarge or change the font on the clock. After that you can add music. It's a bit of work, but you only have to do it the first time and then you can reuse whenever you wish.
- Thank you Steven Stoops ... indeed it takes some work.... just strange that Proclaim never with an idea of separate countdown or at least the one that exists to be able to place it wherever you want it
- There are a few in the Media in Proclaim, emil vhk, some that I created and uploaded. The best would be to learn to use a video and create what you want
