Waiting with Lectio Divina: November–December Series
In the face of the chaos of the holiday season, we long for peace. For three weeks, The Table will slow down and consider our longings for Jesus to bring greater peace and redemption. Using the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, a type of listening prayer and meditation, we will consider the words of the prophet Isaiah. The aim is to slow down and set our eyes on the coming of the Prince of Peace, Jesus.
The Table meets on Wednesdays at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (1720 Harris Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225). We will start with a shared meal at 5:30pm. Bring a dish to share if you are able. This is followed by children and adult classes from 6–7pm. The children of The Table participate in Godly Play, a curriculum that helps kids explore the Christian faith with story, wonder, and play.
