Faithlife Giving: Important features just in time for the New Year!
Happy New Year! It's time to start preparing for sending end-of-year statements. Faithlife is excited to announce new features to make that process a breeze for you.
About year-end statements
Faithlife Giving is equipped to capture all of your online giving (credit/debit and ACH/eCheck) and record all of your offline gifts (cash, checks, etc.), so all of your giving is in one place.
On January 15, Faithlife automatically notifies your givers with email addresses on file with information on how to log in to their Giver Portal and view or download their giving statements.
While statements do not have to be sent until January 31, sending them on January 15 puts them at the forefront of your members’ minds during a time when they are likely reevaluating and setting goals for the New Year.
Don’t have email addresses on file for all of your givers? We’ve got you covered! Faithlife makes it easy to print statements in multiple different sizes to fit envelopes.
Take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you, share what you accomplished together, and connect your givers back to how they can support the mission of your church this coming year by customizing the body of the letter with a custom message. Talking with your church about year-end giving provides a great way to look back at the past year and create excitement about what’s coming in the next.
Set a goal for the New Year
While your givers are accessing their giving statements for 2019, they will be able to recommit to your ministry in the new year using the Goal Calculator found in their Giver Portal.
The Goal Calculator is equipped with biblical study resources focused on stewardship and generosity and helps congregants understand what to give based on a percentage of their pre- or post-tax income. Once the goal is set, givers can follow in stewardship by creating or updating a recurring gift.
