Each Service (Sunday and Wednesday), we leave our presentation open in Proclaim. The following service, the team member 'should' click File, Open to open the new presentation with the appropriate date. However, team members have been changing the date of the existing 'old' presentation, thinking that would open the new one. I know it's a training issue, but we are a very small church. We have an instruction sheet, but people choose not to follow it. Most of the issue is that the 'date' field is at the very top of the screen. Could you make it so that it's 'locked' for editing without a password or PIN? Or, make a pop-up message appear? Something like, "Are you sure you want to modify this presentation's date? Click on File, Open to open another presentation date".
- Do you know how that would work with a Macbook? Would the machine lid have to be open (not in sleep mode) for that to work?
- I had that problem so now I used a service template and duplicated it ahead for the next month. By me spending the few minutes to duplicate then enter a demon title slide I don't have to work because each Sunday had a starting point when you click on file open.
- Yes, I'm afraid that the presentation computer would have to be on . . . As long as you use the Chrome web browser it can work on a Mac. Pastor Adam's suggestion is good, if you work a week ahead, you can switch to next week's presentation before closing down on Sunday, that way when they open the computer the next Sunday, it will be set with the correct presentation when they turn it on.
